Weekly Habit Tracker

Happy New Year everyone! As my husband and I take some time today to plan out our goals for this year I thought I’d share a printable I created to track habits on a weekly basis. Some things don’t need to be done everyday but I couldn’t find a good way to track those weekly tasks/goals/habits in a typical planner. I just wanted something very simple that I could add to my planner and be able to see instantly how I was doing for the year. Click here to download the tracker.

Each tracker has 52 circles to fill in as you do tasks. I don’t number the weeks because I typically aim to do things on average once per week. If you’re more disciplined feel free to write the numbers in the circles 🙂

The weekly tracker is sized at 4″ x 6.5″ which seems to fit nicely in most planners. If you have a smaller planner, just scale it down when you go to print! I like to keep these trackers in the back pocket of my planner, but feel free to glue it to a blank page or print on sticker paper.

Here are some additional ways to use the tracker if you’re looking for more in-depth habit tracking:

  • Number the circles
  • Outline the circles for each quarter in their own color so you can see how you did on your weekly goals by quarter
  • Split the circles with a line down the middle if you have something you want to do twice a week

Print as many trackers as you need! Each sheet prints two.

One of my goals this year is to post weekly on the blog. Week one done! Isn’t it so satisfying to fill in bubbles when they aren’t associated with a multiple choice test? (Anyone else still have nightmares about tests??)

As a side note, I’ve been using a Commit30 planner for a few years now and cannot recommend it highly enough! Each month you commit to doing something for the month and track your progress. I find this is great for establishing new (good) habits or completing larger projects with multiple steps. You can also plan out long-term goals for the year at the beginning of the planner.

Anyway, I hope this little printable helps you accomplish some of your goals this year! I know everyone always has grand plans at the start of the year and normally some of them drop-off over time. We’re all busy–just focus on what’s most important and what will have the biggest impact on your life. And if you’re struggling right now to just do the basics, that’s fine too. Give yourself the grace to do or not do whatever you need to this year. They call them seasons of life for a reason–the good comes and goes and so does the bad. Your friends and family will love you whether you do one thing a day or twenty! Wherever you’re at right now, best wishes for the new year and I hope you experience many moments of joy in 2019!
